Eligibility is for children between ages 5 and 18. We do have rules for each activity and behavior standards. Many activities require that children be able to follow direction without parental supervision. Some sports are physically demanding so check with a physician if needed. |
Who makes this happen? Salinas Police Officers and community members are at the heart of the organization. Some of our volunteers have been with us for over a decade and are still passionate about helping our kids. Many volunteers are former PAL kids themselves! |
History Way back in 1991 the Police Chief decided to create a crime prevention program to help stop the violence on the streets. The Salinas Police Activities League was born and we now serve an average of 3,000 kids per year! |
