On March 1st 2008, the Salinas PAL program took 57 kids and 7 chaperones to the Annual Cal PAL Snow Play Day at Leland Meadows near Sonora. The kids were ages 6-18 and for many, it was their first trip to the snow. The kids ate hamburgers and hot dogs with all the trimmings. They were also treated to chips, salads, chili and drinks. Everything was paid for by the Salinas PAL.
